Has anybody seen the Metalocalypse episode where Dethklok gets banana stickers from Dr Twinkletits? That's kind of how I feel about the 5lb stickers. They're these little star stickers that you get at the meetings. They bring me back to my parents potty training my little brother. He'd get gold foil star stickers every time he'd use the toilet. Kind of rules.
Well, anyway. My friend's wedding (which I'm standing up for) is in early October. I did some calculations tonight and I lost 7lbs in 4 weeks. If I continue to lose at this rate (which I find doubtful), I should be down to 148.5lbs. This would be pretty cool if you ask me. That's 26.5lbs less than I am currently. I find this particular goal to be a bit steep so I think I'll set it at 20lbs. This gives me some wiggle room and I'll be less disappointed if I hit somewhere closer to 15.
Only 3.2 lbs until I hit my first 10lb mark. I don't think I'll hit it but I a girl can hope, right?

Go me
That didn't go as badly as I thought it was going to. Lost 1lb. Not that great, but it's still something. I'm only .5 away from my first 5lbs.
Lets hope this week I do better.

oh no.
Tomorrow is my weigh-in and once again, I'm terrified.
I went out of town this weekend and I cheated one night when visiting relatives. I know one night of drinking vodka tonic won't kill me, but the fear is still present.
How embarrassing will it be if I get on the scale and I've somehow gained weight? My Grandma will be there and I don't want to fail because I fear negative judgement.
Body, please don't let me fail!

Second Weigh-In
I did my second weigh-in today. My official weight loss is 3.5lbs. That's pretty good I suppose. Last night I was up all night worrying if I lost anything. I don't think the scale at my house is to be trusted. Its an old fashioned spring loaded scale and every time you stand on it, you have to re-calibrate it. Thus, my distrust of it.
I go on vacation tomorrow and I won't be back until Monday afternoon. I'm a bit worried about what I'm going to eat while I'm away. It'll be super embarrassing if I gain weight in this next week. I guess I'll bring my super cool WW calculator and pocket guide and hope for the best.
For the one person who may read this ever, do you have any suggestions on how I can make eating out successful? Any suggestions on how to avoid eating crap?

Costo Sheet Cake = 10 lbs
Lets start with the good about today, I woke up and weighed myself and through the power of dieting and mild exercise, I've lost 3lbs already.
I'm really not too sure if this weight loss is water weight because I've been drinking a metric ton of water. The thing I've noticed on this diet is that I'm constantly hungry. The best way I know to combat this is through drowning my sorrows (and empty stomach) with diet coke or water. This has been working but I must pee at least 7 times a day now. Is this what being pregnant feels like?
As for the bad, I haven't eaten anything "bad" this entire week (yeah, ok, 3 days, so shoot me) so I decided to treat myself to a sliver of my little sister's boyfriend's birthday cake. Holy stomachache batman! I don't know if this is the result of not eating anything sugary all week and then diving into a piece of Costco's finest chocolate chocolate chocolate mousse sheet cake. It must be - I can't think of anything else that would cause this feeling. Any ideas internet?
Well, lets say that I won't be trying cake again anytime soon.
PS - I have to lose the equivalent of 5 Costco sheet cakes. :(

Hello Internet
I'm starting this because as it says at the top of the page, I'm trying to lose weight...again. I started Weight Watchers on Saturday and at the request of two good friends, I started writing.
I've always had a problem with my weight and body image. I can remember the first time thinking I was fat. I was in early elementary school and we were standing lined up in the hallway. I can remember looking down at my stomach and thinking it was too big so I spent a few minutes trying to suck it in. From that moment onward, 'sucking in' became an automatic response. When I was sitting down and 'sucking in' didn't work, a well placed pillow or blanket in front of me worked just fine. It's to the point where I've noticed myself doing this when I'm alone and nobody is watching - it's become a security blanket of sorts.
I started Weight Watchers because my Grandma wanted to. I went over to her house the other week and she said she was going to start WW again and she really wanted me to do it with her. She said we'd be more successful doing it together and I believe her. In my experience, diets go best when you have somebody doing it with you because you have somebody supporting you.
So, one meeting down and a general grasp on the program, I'm drinking the WW kool-aid. (In reality, I'm not that upset about joining. I just have a knack for being overdramatic and a taste for complaining.)
Well, tldr, I started Weight Watchers with my Grandma and I suppose this will be my documentation of the experience.
